Off on a quick vacation!

We planned a short trip to show mom some of the sights closer to California. Our first destination was Las Vegas and we left home last Wednesday to spend Wed and Thurs night there. On the way to Vegas is a small ghost town called Calico. Calico used to be substantially populated with miners hoping to find silver but now the town has been converted into a tourist attraction and is a cute place to visit.

We had to take this pic of mom as a school-teacher and Clark as her student. Mom, being a teacher, found it particularly interesting to see the old school-house.
