R & A : Grand Canyon

Once again, I apologize for the formatting - pics are a bit out of order!  Our first road trip with Ruben and Audri was to the Grand Canyon!  They arrived on Sabbath and early Monday morning (4am) we left for Arizona.  We were at the Grand Canyon around the same time with mom in 2006 but we had a totally different experience that became the theme of the holiday - SNOW!

This was actually our last day in the Grand Canyon and it had snowed over night so everything was covered in a thick blanket of white :)

First time we've experienced this!  Our poor car is not used to sleeping in the icy cold :(

Takes quite a bit of work before you can get going in the morning!

Totally different Grand Canyon experience - visibility on the first day wasn't even as good as this.

Winter wonderland...

It's snowing!

The only time the skies were clear - for the first 10 minutes that we were in the Grand Canyon...as soon as we drove through the gates of the park, the snow started and it didn't let up!
