Hike to Hollywood Sign

We have been intending to do the hike to the Hollywood sign for some time now. Well, today, after a late start - we ended up walking around lunch time! Crazy people! - sure we'll have a bit of sunburn later!

Aunty Viv has to spend the weekend in Ontario (about 20 mins from us) for a conference so Janine has been keeping her company and they decided to come out to us today for church since LLU Church is hosting their camp meeting and the programme was supposed to be very interesting. Church was PACKED but inspirational and a great service. We came home and had pasta salad for lunch and we talked ourselves hoarse!!!

Our SA friend, Jacques, has become quite a pro at biltong-making so regularly treats Clark to samples of his fare! Last week when we visited Jacques and Natasa, we took a bag of biltong home which Clark shared with aunty Viv this afternoon and then got stuck into later - polishing it all off!!!! Nothing like South African biltong! (that's if you are not a herbivore like Sara who misses SA dried mango!)

"Sweets for my Sweet"!

Clark has seen his name displayed and associated with several different products and services over here in the US - one of which is a grocery store around the corner from us called Clark's Nutritional Centre which caters to all the health nuts out there! But one of the best we've seen is the Clark Chocolate Bar:) Sara always knew he was as yummy as chocolate:)! It's no wonder there's candy named after him!

"The Mozart Effect" at Redlands Bowl

Last week, we attended a sunset concert entitled "The Mozart Effect" performed by the Redlands Symphony Orchestra at the Redlands Bowl. We packed our cooler box with good ol' South African Moni's Apple Juice and took our camping chairs - probably as close as we can get to a Kirstenbosch concert!

2 Years Together!

The 9th of August was two years to the day that we went to Cape Town's V&A Waterfront and walked into one of the restaurants as friends and walked out an hour or so later holding hands as boyfriend and girlfriend:) These photos were taken about a week later - our first official "couple" photos! Funny to think it's already been 2 years!!!


Clark surprised Sara with 2 dozen red roses the next day - he's so romantic:) I had the best boyfriend EVER!
