Dr. Phil

Today was our big day out to the Dr. Phil show:) It started off early - up at 4am to make sure we got in line and we were the first there! It didn't do us a lot of good though cause even though we were first, we didn't get the greatest seats but we got to sit where Robin and Dr. Phil walk out so they were close enough to get a good look!

We weren't allowed taking cameras or cell phones in with us (had to leave them at the door) so these pics are the best we could get!

You see - at the very front of the line!

Our show will air in the US sometime this week - the guy said definitely before Monday because it's was a topic about big celebrity news these days...Anna Nicole Smith and Britney Spears.

Ventura Beach and Pier

We went out to Camarillo on Friday afternoon to spend some time with the Lansdowns as aunty Yvonne is leaving soon to go back to South Africa and Clark wanted to say goodbye (Sara is still going to see them this Tuesday & Wednesday when she goes out to watch a taping of the Dr. Phil show with the girls!).

We took a long walk yesterday along Ventura beach and the pier...a little chilly but it was nice to be out in the fresh air:)

The girls enjoying the view.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone!

This photo was taken at Strand beach in Somerset West the week after our honeymoon...just thought it was a cool photo to put on the blog for a romantic day like Valentine's:) We haven't done anything special this Valentine's day because Clark had to work but we will do something soon.

Sara got up early this morning (she had to get up REALLY early to beat Clark to it!) and finally made him breakfast in bed:) So, for a change, wifey spoiled Clarkie!

Clark's Valentine's breakfast feast - looks good huh? and healthy! The yoghurt is fat-free, the waffles are whole wheat and the "bacon" is actually Stripples (a fabulous vegie treat!).

Valentine's lunch with SA friends

We got together with some SA friends today in honour of Valentine's Day:) It was great to see everyone again and do some catching up. We got a big shock when we saw Jeni-Joy's bump! Yip, they are expecting a baby in 2 month's time so little Bianca will soon have a brother or sister.

Bianca has also grown quite a bit, talking a lot more and such a cutie pie:) Here she is enjoying the slide.

Lorissa and Sara don't have a baby tummy to show off but they are pretending anyway!

Clark and Carlindo helping Bianca get on and off the slides. Bianca wasn't too sure of Clark at one point because they gave each other an electric shock when Bianca created some static coming down the slide so she kind of associated Clark with that not-too-pleasant feeling.

Happy Birthday Sonia!

The 8th of February is our little sister's birthday! 24 already....as mom says: "where have the years gone?" We're posting this early to make sure that Sons sees it when she gets to work tomorrow. Sonnie - we are so proud of you! You are a gorgeous, intelligent, no-nonsense go-getter who has blossomed into such a mature and independent person. We could never have hoped for a better little sister:) Happy birthday - we love you tons!

Catching up with a long-lost friend!

Sara went out to Marina Del Ray (in the Los Angeles area) today to see her friend, Tania. Sara and Tania were friends in primary school and high school but they haven't seen each other since they were about 16 - over 10 years ago!!!! Sara moved to Durban and then Cape Town, did a stint in Korea...Tania emmigrated with her family to Canada and has worked in several places in the US. A few weeks ago they somehow managed to get in touch with each other again and were shocked when they found out that of all the places that they could have ended up in the world - they live an hour away from each other!!!!

So, today was the great reunion! We had a lovely time chatting and chatting and chatting:) Before we knew it, it was 3pm already and we still hadn't had lunch so we went to the "Cheesecake Factory" on the beach. It was a lovely afternoon with good company and plenty of laughs and reminiscing.

Tania lives in a really pretty area - isn't it nice to live so close to such scenery?
